Installation

Unpack and verify all components. Ensure vehicle battery is disconnected before installation.

  1. Remove existing stereo: Use removal tools to release old unit from dashboard.
  2. Connect wiring harness: Match wire colors (red=ignition, yellow=constant 12V, black=ground, etc.).
  3. Connect antenna plug: Insert vehicle antenna cable into rear antenna port.
  4. Secure mounting sleeve: Insert sleeve into dashboard opening and bend tabs to lock.
  5. Insert stereo unit: Slide unit into sleeve until it clicks into place.
  6. Reconnect vehicle battery and test operation.

WARNING! Disconnect negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

First-Time Setup

After installation, power on the unit and configure initial settings.

  1. Set the clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use TUNE/SEEK to set time.
  2. Program radio presets: Tune to desired station, press and hold a preset button (1-6) for 2 seconds.
  3. Adjust audio settings: Use BASS/TREBLE buttons to set preferred sound.
  4. Set display dimmer: Press DIMMER button to adjust brightness for day/night.
  5. Test CD playback: Insert a CD to verify proper loading and playback.

CAUTION! Do not operate while driving. Park vehicle in a safe location during setup.

Connecting Devices

AUX Input: Use 3.5mm stereo cable to connect portable players. External Amplifier: Use RCA preamp outputs (if available).

  1. Turn off stereo and ignition before connecting devices.
  2. Plug 3.5mm cable into front AUX jack and portable device headphone output.
  3. Select AUX source by pressing SOURCE until "AUX" appears on display.
  4. Control volume from car stereo; start playback on portable device.

Tip: Use high-quality cables to minimize noise interference.

Playing Media

Supports audio CDs, CD-R/RW with MP3/WMA files.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT to open tray, place disc label-side up, press again to close.
  2. Play: Automatically starts playback; use PLAY/PAUSE to control.
  3. Skip tracks: Press TUNE/SEEK up/down or remote NEXT/PREV.
  4. Fast forward/rewind: Press and hold TUNE/SEEK during playback.
  5. Repeat/Random: Press AUDIO repeatedly to cycle through REPEAT (1/ALL), RANDOM.
  6. MP3/WMA navigation: Use TUNE/SEEK to skip folders/files; display shows track info.
  7. Eject: Press EJECT to remove disc; unit powers down if left open.

WARNING! Do not insert damaged or irregular-shaped discs. Avoid using in extreme temperatures.

Security Features

Detachable Faceplate: Press release button, slide faceplate off to deter theft. Store in protective case. Security Code: Optional code can be set to disable unit if power is disconnected (refer to manual for setup).

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior. For disc lens, use approved CD lens cleaner only.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners. Keep faceplate away from direct sunlight and heat.
