Installation

Professional installation recommended. Ensure vehicle is parked with ignition off.

  1. Disconnect negative battery terminal before beginning installation.
  2. Remove existing stereo using appropriate removal tools.
  3. Connect wiring harness: Match colors (red - ignition, yellow - battery, black - ground).
  4. Connect antenna cable to antenna input on rear of unit.
  5. Slide unit into mounting sleeve and secure with provided brackets.
  6. Reconnect battery and test functions before final assembly.

First-Time Setup

After installation, configure basic settings for optimal performance.

  1. Power on unit: Turn ignition to ACC or ON position.
  2. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, use TUNE knob to adjust time.
  3. Program radio stations: Tune to desired station, press and hold preset button (1-6) for 2 seconds.
  4. Adjust audio settings: Use BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE, FADER controls for preferred sound.
  5. Test CD playback: Insert audio CD to verify proper operation.

Connecting Devices

AUX Input: Front 3.5mm jack for portable players. Pre-outs: Rear RCA connectors for external amplifiers.

  1. Turn off unit before connecting devices.
  2. For AUX: Connect 3.5mm cable from device to front AUX input.
  3. For amplifiers: Connect RCA cables from pre-outs to amplifier inputs.
  4. Select source: Press SOURCE button until AUX appears on display.

Tip: Use quality cables for best audio performance. Secure cables to prevent rattling.

Playing Media

Supports audio CDs, MP3/WMA CDs, and AUX input sources.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT button, insert CD label side up.
  2. Play: Unit automatically begins playback; use TRACK buttons to navigate.
  3. MP3/WMA playback: Navigate folders using TUNE knob; press to select.
  4. Play modes: Press RPT for repeat, RDM for random play.
  5. Fast forward/rewind: Press and hold TRACK buttons during playback.
  6. Eject: Press EJECT button; remove disc when tray opens.
  7. Radio: Press BAND to switch between FM1/FM2/AM; use TUNE or SEEK.
  8. Presets: Store stations by pressing and holding preset buttons.

WARNING! Do not insert damaged or irregular shaped discs. Keep discs clean and free of scratches.

Security Features

Detachable Faceplate: Remove for theft prevention - press release button and pull faceplate forward. Security Code: Optional code protection - if enabled, unit requires code entry after power loss.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for faceplate and display. For CD lens: Use approved CD lens cleaner only.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents, chemicals, or abrasive cleaners. Never spray liquids directly on unit.
