Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure vehicle is off and battery disconnected.

  1. Remove existing stereo: Use DIN removal tools to extract old unit.
  2. Connect wiring harness: Match color-coded wires (red to ignition, yellow to battery, black to ground).
  3. Connect antenna: Plug antenna cable into rear connector.
  4. Mount unit: Slide D-E403 into DIN slot until it clicks into place.
  5. Reconnect battery and test operation.

WARNING! Disconnect vehicle battery before installation to prevent electrical shorts. Ensure all connections are secure.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow initial configuration.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold CLOCK button, adjust with tuning knob.
  2. Program radio stations: Tune to desired station, press and hold preset button (1-6) for 2 seconds.

Playing CD Media

Supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW formats.

  1. Insert disc: Press EJECT, load CD label-side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; select track with TRACK UP/DOWN or numeric buttons.
  3. Stop: Press STOP; eject with EJECT button.
  4. Skip: TRACK UP/DOWN for next/previous tracks.
  5. Random/Repeat: Press RANDOM or REPEAT during play.
  6. Fast Forward/Rewind: Press and hold TRACK buttons.
  7. Pause: Press PAUSE to temporarily halt playback.
  8. Anti-shock: Automatically engages during vehicle motion.

WARNING! Do not insert damaged discs. Do not use while driving if it distracts attention.

Security Features

Detachable Faceplate: Remove when parked to deter theft. Security Code: Optional code can be set (see manual).

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect power before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for faceplate and display. For CD lens, use approved cleaning disc only.
