Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure vehicle is off and battery disconnected.

  1. Remove existing stereo: Use removal keys or tools specific to your vehicle.
  2. Connect wiring harness: Match wire colors (Red: ignition, Yellow: constant 12V, Black: ground, etc.). Use crimp connectors or solder.
  3. Connect antenna: Plug vehicle antenna cable into rear port.
  4. Secure unit: Slide into dashboard opening and secure with mounting sleeve.
  5. Reconnect battery and test functions before final assembly.

First-Time Setup

Power on unit; follow initial prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press and hold SETUP, navigate to CLOCK setting.
  2. Program radio stations: Tune to desired station, press and hold preset button (1-6) for 2 seconds.
  3. Pair Bluetooth: Enable Bluetooth on phone, select "SONY J-2" from device list. Default PIN is 0000.

Connecting Devices

USB: Connect flash drive for media playback. AUX: 3.5mm cable from external player. Bluetooth: Pair mobile phone.

  1. Ensure unit is on and vehicle is in Park.
  2. For USB: Insert flash drive; unit will automatically detect and switch to USB mode.
  3. For AUX: Plug cable into AUX IN jack; press SOURCE to select AUX.
  4. For Bluetooth: Activate pairing mode from SETUP > BLUETOOTH > PAIR.

Tip: Format USB drive as FAT32 for best compatibility. Maximum supported capacity is 32GB.

Playing Media

Supports CD, USB, AUX, Bluetooth audio.

  1. Insert CD: Press EJECT, load disc label-side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use TRACK buttons to navigate.
  3. USB Playback: Navigate folders using LEFT/RIGHT buttons.
  4. Repeat/Shuffle: Press RPT or SHUF during playback.
  5. Fast Forward/Rewind: Press and hold TRACK buttons.

  7. Eject: Press EJECT button; remove disc when tray opens.

WARNING! Do not insert damaged or irregularly shaped discs. Avoid using USB hubs.

Bluetooth Features

Hands-free Calling: Answer/end calls with PHONE button; voice dialing supported. Audio Streaming: Stream music from paired device; control playback (play/pause/skip) from unit or steering wheel. Phonebook: Sync contacts for voice-activated dialing (phone dependent).

Care & Maintenance

Use soft, dry cloth for cleaning faceplate and display. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Regularly remove faceplate when parked in high-risk areas.

CAUTION! Detach faceplate before cleaning connectors. Avoid extreme temperatures and moisture.
